What the deuce! It’s a road legal flying car!

Road Legal Flying Car

Designed by a team of MIT graduates, this is the vehicle that converts from a street-legal automobile to a Light Sport aircraft in 30 seconds.

Well it’s no DeLorean, but I want one. Big Time.

A 100 hp, four-cylinder engine powers both the craft’s three-bladed propeller for a maximum airspeed of 115 mph and its continuously variable transmission, rear-wheel drive to above 65 mph when on the road. When the wings are folded, the craft easily stores in a home’s garage. It can be driven to one’s preferred airfield on four DOT-approved tires with full road suspension. An electro-mechanical system is activated from inside the two-person cockpit to deploy the self-locking wings into place for take-off provided by a 1,700′ runway. Built to fly within VFR conditions, sophisticated modern avionics aid navigation from a touch-screen LCD. Dual pedals and a joystick manage the craft’s flight control surfaces–dual rudders, ailerons, and stabilator–while a steering wheel, accelerator, and brake control its road movement. Its 23-gallon gas tank provides a 425 nautical mile range (35 mpg on the road), indispensable for easy day trips from Long Island to Martha’s Vineyard. Carbon fiber, titanium, and aluminum construction. Includes comprehensive familiarization with craft. Requires a Sport Pilot Certificate.

All I can say is kiss your traffic problems goodbye. This sure beats my car. The cardboard wings on my car fall off the time, and they don’t even work!

I can imagine the conversation before driving someone home. “So hey, where did you park your car?”

I’m on the roof. And where we’re going, we don’t need roads. *cue the Back to the Future music

Super Uber Cool. It’s Moshi, an alarm clock with excellent table manners

Moshi Clock Front View

Introducing Moshi, a stunning alarm clock with all the bells and whistles. And unlike other clocks, when you talk to this one, it talks back.

The Moshi Voice-Activated AM/FM Digital Clock Radio is the world’s easiest-to-set alarm clock. To wake her up, just say ‘Hello Moshi’ and she’s right there with you. Moshi comprehends any English-speaking voice and is so accurate that it can operate effectively even with substantial background noise.

And trust us, we put that to the test. Big time. We even tried using a Mr. T impersonator, Moshi did a pretty good job. And she pities the fool for trying.

Moshi responds to 11 voice commands used to set the time, choose alarm sounds, turn on the radio, snooze, and much more.

And did I mention this clock just feels so gosh darn nice? She’s soft. Real soft.

Velvety almost.

Me likey.

Featuring high-quality stereo speakers, Moshi includes a digital AM/FM tuner, six station presets, and a line-in input (cable included) for hooking up external audio sources like an iPod. And speaking of table manners, if you tell her thanks, she happily says “you’re welcome.” Then pities you for not knowing the time in the first place.

The Screw Pop™, worlds coolest 4-in-1 keychain tool

Screwpop™ Tool

The Screwpop is a pretty sweet 4-in-1 keychain tool. It’s actually smaller than most car keys and fits perfectly on your keychain.

It has 4 main functions for the most commonly needed uses:

• Phillips Screwdriver #2
• Flathead Screwdriver #2
• 1/4” Hex. Nut Driver
• Bottle Pop-Top Opener

We had a few people try it out and they generally liked how it works. One thing we found useful was the hex nut driver. It’s actually the perfect size for opening and repairing computer towers. Who knew?

Another day later we actually used the Phillips Screwdriver with an Alan Key to repair some old rollerblades, while popping a delicious refreshment afterwards. Rootbeer. And I still enjoyed the feeling of popping the top.

That’s what she said.

Overall this is a neat little invention that’s definitely worth the price!

The HTC 7 Pro Mobile Phone flips, spins and slides, but does it stack up?

HTC 7 Pro Mobile Phone

It’s the HTC 7 Pro Mobile Phone. We know it’s from Windows and we know that with everything it does, it does it pretty fast. We checked one out and put it to the test against the big boys, the Blackberry and the iPhone to see how it stacked up.

Taking Care of Business

This phone actually does wonders with all your documents, allowing you to easily open and edit them in a snap. One thing that’s also great is the ability to organize and stay organized with it. I imagine that this can actually replace a computer if you really needed it to. That’s one up on the Blackberry and way ahead of what’s possible with the iPhone as far as office documents go.

Usability

The HTC 7 Pro has some interesting features with it’s design.

HTC 7 Pro QWERTY Keyboard

Not only does it have a qwerty keyboard for easier typing, the 3.6″ display screen tilts up so it’s easy to watch movies while you travel absolutely hands-free. The screen quality is great, has a touch screen, gyro and an audio jack for headphones. Me likey.

Apps

The HTC 7 Pro doesn’t have all the apps you’d find on a Blackberry or iPhone just yet, but they do have a market place where you can install them as quickly as the iPhone, and easier than the Blackberry. I noticed though that it had everything one would need to stay busy right on the phone already:

• Note Pad
• Picture Enhancer
• Audio Equalizer
• Flashlight
• 3D Weather
• Unit Converter
• Stock Watcher

Social, Photos, Music

The iPhone *for some crazy and wrongful reason* is known as the king of sorting photos, but you can’t even create folders on the iPhone! However sifting through people and all your music is easy, but the HTC does a pretty nice job of making everything visually stunning as well. It took a little while to get used to but when you get good at it, it’s pretty fast.

Another interesting thing is the gaming feature.  The HTC touch now brings the gaming experience from the Xbox straight to mobile with Xbox Live, so if you love your Xbox, you’re going to freak out with this phone.

Overall this mobile phone is loaded with all the bells and whistles, a 5 mp camera, 720 HD video camera, bing maps (satellite view is awesome) and definitely stacks up with the others.
