Sony Bravia HDTV’s now have some of that Corning Gorilla Glass action and it’s pretty awesome

Sony Bravia HDTV Corning Gorilla Glass

Sony has announced that all their latest HDTV’s will be coming out with Corning Gorilla Glass nationwide. And even though it was just as I had predicted, and hoped for, I’ll admit I went ape when I heard the news.

But as with everything new, there’s always a skeptical look at whether it’s worth it and can it actually improve the picture of something that seems so close to perfect to begin with.

Well let me answer that for you. The answer is yes.

It’s awesome and I’ll tell you why.

Corning Incorporated (NYSE:GLW) teaming up with Sony is a good thing. A real good thing. Sony never let you know before, but the HDTV’s before were thick. Okay, they were thin, but still thicker than they needed to be. And because they were thicker and made with another glass, there was some weird things happening that only someone with a very keen eye would notice. Despite the anti-glare film they had to put on them, thicker glass creates fine vertical streaks on bright whites and fast moving pictures. It’s not as big as I make it out to be, but they were there.

It’s true that potentially only half a percent of people would notice this and due to the makeup of all pieces of glass, the density and appearance of these lines would vary from panel to panel. So if you have a SONY Bravia HDTV already, odds are you still will love it, it’s just not going to be as awesome as a SONY HDTV with Gorilla Glass.

Corning Gorilla glass is only 0.7mm thick and allows for the glass to go completely to the edge of the set. This produces the best looking design for a television that you’ll probably ever see. It even looks amazing when the tv is off.

The benefits of Corning Gorilla glass make the TV even lighter and the glass is the toughest and most durable of it’s kind as it’s strengthened at a molecular level. The new glass is literally a break-through in glass technology.

Without effecting the picture in any negative way, Gorilla Glass and Sony produces a perfect image that’s just awesome. Now all I gotta do is start saving my pennies.

Billiards Putting Game

Beats me. But if they were to call it something creative, it wouldn’t be called Poolf. Because that’d be pretty stupid. So let’s just call it Golfilliards.

This fancy shmancy billiard putting game turns each hole into “pockets”. But I still can’t tell if it’s good to be a scratch player or bad to scratch, but either way I’m going to assume it’s more like golf and you are allowed to cheat.

You are allowed to cheat, right? Right? Yup.

This billiard putting game is great for indoors and outdoors and comes with 6 putting cups and a set of golf balls that look like pool balls. So really it’s basically like pool, but with golf balls. I get it now.

A new design of wind turbine makes it really easy to be green

4. It saves you money. And that’s just the bonus part because what it’s really saving is the earth.

Overall, the new design of wind turbine makes sense. And cents. Personally I think every home should have a good alternative source of energy to reduce the monthly bill and save the environment. And I’ve come to the conclusion that a hundred hamsters in a generator wheel just isn’t viable. They probably wouldn’t all run in the same direction. So these wind turbines are the best idea, and there’s even a little spot on the top where you can stick your rooster.

How to pick your nose at parties

Pick your nose animal party cups

If you’re anything like me you’ll think these party cups are awesome possum! The bees knees so to speak. The cats meow if you please.

You get the idea.

Now you can drink your favorite beverages and look like a crazy party animal when you throw one back. So with this in mind, I’ve put together a handy little guide on how to choose which animal snout is right for you:

• If you are the type to get tipsy and heaver, you should probably pick the beaver.

• But if you’re in it to win it and don’t plan on going home alone, I definitely recommend the Tucan. Because really, I can, you can? Tucan.

• If you’re the type of person to blend in with your surroundings, your best bet is the Chameleon cup. Hide out in the corner by the pile of jackets while you’re at it. No one will notice you, plus you might pick up some loose change.

• If you are self professed apple geek, you probably should pick the leopard. But don’t try picking up ladies by talking about how OS X.5.1 upgrade slowed down your desktop. Just because you have the cup to match – doesn’t make it cool.

• If it’s a poker party, definitely use the shark, but if it’s not a poker party, never use the shark. The only type of people that use the shark are people that wear white sunglasses and we all know that means you are a douche-bag.
