These days everyone should be aware about the use of plastic bags. With big companies still handing them out it’s really up to us to make a difference. Did you know the average person uses and throws away 290 plastic bags in a year? That’s insane!
Green Aid is a handy little gadget that makes it easier to be green. Each grenade stores a durable, reusable bag that’s ready to be used whenever you shop and can be easily attached to your pants, jacket or backpack.
Just clip it on and you are ready to fight the war on plastic. Personally, I’ve been reusing bags for years and years. I guess you could call me a War on Plastic Vet.
Oh the stories I could tell.
One time, while shopping, I got two bags of cashews for the price of one. I think the cashier possibly rang it through wrong, but I didn’t realize until I made it home. And man, those free cashews tasted twice as good as the others. Ohhhh yeaaah.
If you are anything like me, small rodents give you the heebie-jeebies. Fortunately this little Dormouse isn’t the furry variety, but the functional type instead. It’s designed to hold doors open without letting them squeak closed. Best of all, you have to kick it in the butt to fit it under a door. Take that mouse!
This little mouse doorstop is made out recycled rescued wood, making each product unique from one another. How’s that for a good idea? Another good idea is the leather loop, which allows you to hang this door mouse on the doorknob when you aren’t using it.
I had the chance to create some fun creatures and play with a new construction set toy called Poly Puzzle. Each set comes with several pieces of pre-cut card in multiple colours that can be made to create cool animals and figures. They even come with the googly eyes, which is a necessity for a budding imagination.
There are easy-to-follow instructions showing you how to make several animals from the pieces inside. And once you are done you can pull them apart and make something else. Like an owl for example. Or something seasonal…
Here’s a snowflake! Perfect for the holiday season and not as complicated as it looks. Check out the video below to see how they did it.
The playability of the Polly Puzzle reminds me a lot of toy called ZAKS, remember those? I totally need to find those again so I can make myself a helmet.
If you ride a bike at night, this gadget is for you. Simply put on these socks the next time you go riding and you’ll easily be spotted in traffic right away.
Not only do they make you more visible at night protecting you and your bike, they also protect your jeans from getting dirty. You’ll never have to worry about getting your jeans caught up in your gears ever again. Genius!
I do have to say though, if your riding habits are anything like the bikers in my area, these socks might make you more of a target than anything else. I’ve been having a hard time spotting the bikers at night but with these socks I’ll be able to time my acceleration towards them perfectly. Totally kidding…
Safety rules.
Unless you cut me off. Then you can feel my wrath Reflective Biker Socks! Feel my wrath indeed.
