16% of iPhone 5’s test positive for E.coli Bacteria and Clorox is gonna save you

Clorox Electronic Screen Cleaners

Okay, the headline scares, but it’s true. You may not realize it but if you use your handheld device or cellphone every day, odds are it’s filthy, gross and a cesspool of bacteria. If you are anything like me you are probably going to clean your phone after knowing this fact:

90% of phones harbor bacteria and 16% of phones test positive for e.coli bacteria! SICK!

I’ll admit I am not surprised by that. They get pretty warm when you use them….and I am also willing to admit that I am super guilty of doing two things at once. Like one, having a phone conversation and two, being in the bathroom while having a phone conversation. Hey cut me a break! Us bloggers are busy these days.

But thankfully here is where Clorox comes in to save the day.

These new cleaning products from Clorox are made to deliver the Clorox ‘Higher Standard of Clean’ and are safe for all electronic displays and touch screens. The wipes are a gentle microfiber cloth to buff your screens and are per-moistened with the proper cleaner to use on your device.

Look for these handy products in stores at your nearest Loblaws, Best Buy, Future Shop and Wal-Mart and give them a go. And hey, don’t forget to wash your hands.

A Sponsored Video that Welcomes YOU to Social Hollywood

Hello My Name Is Alex

The Beauty Inside is an interactive social film, presented by Intel and Toshiba, directed by Drake Doremus, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Topher Grace, and the coolest thing of all, it also starts YOU! It’s Hollywood’s first film that gives the audience a chance to play the lead role.

Here’s what it’s all about:

The video is about Alex, a 20-something male who lives in Los Angeles, restores antiques and wakes up every day with a new physical appearance. It’s a little cool and a little creepy. Can you just imagine what life would be like if you woke up as a new person every day? I think I’d definitely find a way to use it to my advantage, it’s almost like every day is a second chance. But I suppose it would be a hard thing to get used to.

I have to say I am glad it’s a guy. Girls just wear some makeup and are practically a different person every anyways. Right? *punch* And that different person is…as…equally as awesome…if not more awesome than the day before. Phewf. Saved it.

So anyway, Alex navigates the trials and tribulations that come from his ever-changing appearance, he carries and uses a Toshiba Portégé® Ultrabook™ which also serves as his personal journal. The film stars Topher Grace and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, however, the main character is played by everyday people like you.

A global, online casting call ran via Facebook and viewers auditioned for the chance to play one of the roles of Alex. Because Alex’s appearance keeps changing, multiple people were chosen to play him. So that was then, and part two is now.

Now that the episodes have been filmed, we thought you’d like to see how it all turned out. Welcome to Social Hollywood! Check out the video below to see the beginning…

He blends in and really stands out, Huey the Colour Copying Chameleon Lamp

Huey Chameleon Lamp

Shutup and take my money. Here’s Huey, the Colour Copying Chameleon Lamp. Not only do I love me some chameleon, I also love me some lamps. And if that’s not all, I also love me some colour, so this my friends is probably the coolest thing ever. Why? Because Huey is a Chameleon, that’s a lamp, that changes colour! Waaaaah?

huey colour changing chameleon

All you have to do is place Huey on a surface and he instantly copies the colour and blends right in. AH-MAZING!

He can match a variety of hues in the visible spectrum. Fantastico!

Spectrum Of Colours

Did I mention he is squishy?

He’s squishy. And awesome.

The last time I changed colour was when I fell down a flight of stairs in front of the hottest girl ever while I was in University. Not only was my face a nice hue of red, my bum was a beautiful shade of purple.

I showed her. I think she was tickled pink.

Never saw her again.

Shutup and take my money, get your own Huey right here
