Thanks – is that definite? I have read that the old iphone 4 has the mute button on a different layout to the iphone 4S?

There is no known physical difference between the two or any difference between the UK and US models that have been found. All global models are the same, just languages in the firmware are different. The 4S is .1 oz heavier than the iPhone 4, this is probably due to any new pieces internally. Any slight differences in the location of the mute button that you mentioned can only be measured with a micrometer, so unless it’s a precision case, and that’s precision down to a micrometer, it will fit.

That’s the information I’ve received and no one else has told me otherwise so far. Hope that helps!

Hi, thank you for that detailed info. I decided to go to a phone shop today to have a look and compare as I really want this case… but unfortunately, the Mute button on the 4S is lowered.. by almost 1cm!

I think this case has specific holes for the mute and volume buttons so I don’t think this will fit a 4S..which is a big pity as this case looks really good and would have been excellent! :o(

Bizarre!

And people that have bought this case says it fits the iPhone 4S so I don’t know what to tell you.
